Reproduce it, print it, frame it, in time for the show.
Best Framing scans, prints and frames for artists, photographers and galleries in Costa Mesa, Orange County. Flatbed scanning up to 600 dpi, archival giclée, canvas stretched in house, and custom framing chopped and joined a few steps from the print lab.
An original becomes an edition without leaving the building.
The print lab and the frame shop share one floor on Placentia Avenue, so an original can become an edition, and the edition a framed piece, without changing hands.

Reproduce
With flatbed scanning we can achieve up to 600 dpi, and our digital artists go over every scan for color and composition. The file is prepared and color-managed here, before anything is printed.

Giclées on canvas, cold-press watercolor paper, or either of our matte or luster acid-free cotton-based papers, from the 64-inch printer. All of our giclées use archival pigment inks on carefully selected papers and canvas.

Finish
We can stretch canvas giclées in house, or frame them a few steps away. Mounting, flattening and finishing happen on the same floor.

Frame
Chopped and joined by hand a few steps from the print lab. Museum-quality and UV-protective glazing, and our store is completely acid-free.

Just starting to reproduce your work? Sit down with us first.
If you are just starting to reproduce your artwork and are looking for some guidance, we are happy to meet with you to provide some options and recommendations for ways to develop your artwork into a business.
Bring the original, or bring the file. We look at the papers, the canvas and the sizes together at the counter and quote the work in person. Up to 64 inches on the giclée printer, and up to 60 by 96 inches on the UV flatbed for wood, acrylic or aluminum.
Printed and framed in the same building, so the deadline is one conversation.
Exhibition and rush work is quoted in person at the counter. Call first if the date is tight, and bring the piece or the file with you.

Before the show
Proofs weighted flat in the shop, then the edition. File preparation and prepress assistance, color management and color matching run through every print.

At the opening
When a client needed a quick-turn custom art piece for the opening of their new showroom, our team handled the printing, framing and installation from start to finish.
@bestframing, on the reel. One job, one schedule, one team.

After the show
Packaging, crating and shipping of anything we frame. For large pieces, multiple piece orders, or long distances we can build a custom wood crate. We have existing freight service accounts, and we confirm receiving requirements before booking shipment.
Prints for resale, and an account to order them on.
A Pro Account keeps your business details on file, so each edition can be printed, stretched or framed. Artists, photographers and galleries open one with the same form interior designers and corporate accounts use.

Editions
Archival fine-art editions, limited editions included, proofed in the shop before the edition is printed.
Volume
Volume framing and production runs, project-managed.
Fulfillment
Companies with online stores can send us their order and we can print, frame, package, and ship directly from our store. A Shopify store is connected today for a professional photographer.
The paperwork
Your business name and address go on the form, and resale documentation may be requested when an order is for resale.

“I had a gallery show coming up […] I needed a work printed and framed within a few days. Even though it was a rush order with a really tight turnaround, they were really helpful and accommodating. […] the framing and quality of print received a lot of compliments. […] I highly recommend if you do a lot of digital art and/or participate in exhibitions often.”
The questions people ask at the counter, answered.
