Signs made the way we frame, with a fine-art eye.
Best Framing makes custom signs and displays at its framing shop in Costa Mesa, Orange County. Dimensional lettering, window and wall graphics, CNC- and laser-cut acrylic, and prints straight onto wood, tile or a door. All made in the same building, with the same color management, as the framed work they hang beside.

Fine-art craftsmanship for custom signs and displays.
A fine-art background, color management and the same finishing as the framing, brought to a sign.
The projects that suit us are the ones where the framing, the printing, the signage and the installation are meant to read as one job. A lobby, a showroom opening, a school play, with one team answerable for all of it. The signage is color-managed in the same lab as the giclée prints.
The list, in our own words.
Signs are quoted per project, the way framing is. Bring the space, the artwork or the idea to the counter, or call and describe it. No price list, because no two are the same.

Made for one space, not pulled from a catalog.
Three lines from that list, and what they mean here. None of it is commodity work to us. Each piece is made for the place it goes, with the attention to detail and craftsmanship we put into a frame.

Retail and promotional displays
For a storefront, a showroom or an opening, where the display is the first thing a customer reads and the color has to be the brand’s.
Color-managed in the same lab as our giclée prints, and cut on the same floor, so a display can stand beside framed work as part of one project.
ADA and wayfinding signs
The signs that tell people where they are in a building and where to go next. They are part of how a place feels, so they get the same attention to detail as the art on its walls.
Made on the same floor as the framing, so the signs in a lobby or an office and the art that hangs there can be planned as one job.
Custom fabrication for special projects
For the idea that is not on any list. We bring it to life with what is on this floor: the Colex CNC shaping and routing wood, metal or acrylic, the laser cutter working from CAD files drawn from your artwork, and the flatbed that prints onto many compatible flat materials.
The door printed for a school play, further down this page, is that kind of job.
Shapes no sheet of acrylic comes in.
You specify the shape and the edges of your print on wood, metal or acrylic, and it is cut here.
Dimensional letters and logos are cut on the same floor, and checked by the same eyes, as the framed work that hangs beside them.
CNC cutting
The Colex flatbed cuts the outline you ask for in wood, metal or acrylic: rounded corners, beveled edges, routed holes and custom-shaped outlines.
Laser cutting
We design custom CAD files for the laser cutter from your artwork, or from original artwork we design in house. After cutting the acrylic we print color on the back of it, so you get any color acrylic you want instead of the few colors that come in colored sheets.
Straight onto the glass, or straight onto the thing itself.
Two jobs told on our own Instagram, in our own words. Both were printed in this building.

Perforated window vinyl
“This is one of those products small businesses love… perforated window vinyl. It goes right on your glass and does something pretty clever. From the outside, it gives you privacy. From the inside, you can still see out. So your office, studio, or retail space feels open, but not exposed. It’s great for storefront windows, conference rooms, entry doors, anywhere you want to show off your brand, add a little personality, and still keep things practical. We design and print it in-house at Best Framing, custom-made for your space…”
@bestframing, on Instagram. The panels on our own Placentia Avenue storefront are the same product, designed and printed here.
Printed on a flat door for a school play
“When people ask me what we did today, it’s a bit hard to explain. Today we printed on a flat door for a school play to create texture and the results were amazing.”
@bestframing, on Instagram. The same flatbed prints onto wood, acrylic, pearled and brushed aluminum, tile, cabinet doors, fabric, leather, barnwood and chalkboard. Bring the material, and we assess its suitability before production.
What they said about the work.
“…helped me choose the perfect size spacing for our custom logo artwork. The craftsmanship and attention to detail were outstanding…”
SC Carts, Inc. on
, June 2026. On a framed custom logo artwork.“A huge thank you to @bestframing for the beautiful finishing touches through signage and framework…”

Signs and displays, the questions we hear.
What kinds of signs do you make?
Custom signs, interior business signage, retail and promotional displays, ADA and wayfinding signs, and dimensional signs and lettering, plus wall graphics, decals and window graphics. Our team brings careful color management, precise fabrication and thoughtful finishing to signage, graphics and displays, color-managed in the same lab as our giclée prints.
Do you make perforated window vinyl for storefronts?
Yes, we design and print it in-house, custom-made for your space. It goes right on your glass: from the outside it gives you privacy, and from the inside you can still see out, which makes it great for storefront windows, conference rooms and entry doors.
Can you make laser-cut acrylic signs in any color?
Yes. We design custom CAD files for the laser cutter from your artwork, or from original artwork we design in house, and after cutting the acrylic we print color on the back of it. That gives you any color acrylic you want instead of the few colors that come in colored sheets.
Do you make ADA and wayfinding signs?
Yes, ADA and wayfinding signs are on our list. They are made on the same floor as the framing, so the signs in a lobby or an office and the art that hangs there can be planned as one job.
How do I get a sign project quoted?
Signs are quoted per project, the way framing is. Bring the space, the artwork or the idea to the counter, or call +1 (949) 791-8780 and describe it.
